If You’re Reading This Someone Who Loves You Wants You to go to Therapy for Christmas

Hey beloved,

Someone really cares about you and wants you to feel lighter.

Not fixed.

Not changed.

Lighter.

This holiday season, perhaps you asked someone what they would like for Christmas, and here is their answer: they would like for you to go to therapy

I know - trust me - it can be hard to read those words. But, I also hope you trust me when I tell you that it’s coming from a place of love. Nobody wants you to go to therapy because there is something intrinsically wrong with you, but rather because it might just seem like you’re having a hard time lately, and they care.

I’m sure it’s been quite the year, eh? I’m guessing that’s what your loved one has been noticing too. Maybe they’re seeing how much you’re carrying even if you’re trying to hide it.

Through therapy, you can come to better understand yourself: how you feel, how you move through relationships, how you react under stress, and even how your body holds what you’ve been carrying.

Therapy isn’t a space for judgement, it’s a space of invitation! An invitation to a space that is carefully and thoughtfully curated for you.

When someone cares about you so deeply that the best gift you could ever give them is the ability to care for yourself? Now that is love.

With care,

Someone who loves you

If someone you love is hoping this for you, maybe it’s worth exploring at your pace, and on your own terms.

You can book a consultation with Perdicou Psychotherapy to take the first step.
