What if your stress isn’t just in your mind, but in your nervous system?
When the nervous system stays activated for too long, it can lead to anxiety, exhaustion, irritability, difficulty relaxing, and feeling constantly overwhelmed. Nervous System Reset is a 6-week virtual therapy group designed to help you understand how your body responds to stress and learn practical ways to regulate it.
This group blends psychoeducation, skills development, restorative yoga practices, and evidence-based psychotherapy approaches to support nervous system regulation and resilience.
This group may be helpful if you:
feel constantly “on” or unable to relax
experience chronic stress or burnout
feel overwhelmed even when you are functioning well in daily life
notice stress strongly in your body (tension, racing thoughts, fatigue)
struggle to slow down or recover after stressful situations
want practical tools to regulate stress and build resilience
What You’ll Learn
Throughout the 6 weeks, participants explore:
how the nervous system responds to stress
how to recognize early signs of dysregulation
bottom-up regulation tools such as breath, grounding, and sensory practices
cognitive strategies that help reduce stress amplification
how to complete the stress cycle and release accumulated tension
the role of connection and co-regulation in emotional wellbeing
how to create a personalized nervous system care plan
What a Typical Session Looks Like
Group Check-In: Participants briefly share how their nervous system has been feeling that week and reflect on insights or challenges since the previous session.
Psychoeducation
Each week introduces a topic related to stress and nervous system regulation, such as understanding the stress response or recognizing early signs of dysregulation.
Restorative Yoga / Body-Based Practice
Each session includes a short, gentle restorative yoga or body awareness practice designed to help the nervous system settle and integrate the skills being learned.
Skills Practice
Participants learn and practice practical regulation tools including grounding techniques, breath-work, sensory regulation, and cognitive strategies.
Reflection & Integration:
Sessions close with group reflection and discussion about how participants might apply the skills in everyday life.
Between sessions, participants are invited to practice simple exercises that help build awareness of their nervous system and strengthen regulation skills over time.
This group may not be the best fit for you at this time, and that’s okay!
Nervous System Reset may not be the best fit for individuals who:
are currently experiencing a mental health crisis or require immediate support
are seeking intensive trauma processing or trauma-focused therapy
prefer one-on-one therapy rather than a group setting
If this group is not the right fit for your current needs, individual therapy or a more specialized program may be more appropriate. Please reach out here to inquire.
